Kayla Ward is a proud transgender woman who lives her life out loud with purpose to educate, encourage, and inspire others. “I want to be the visibility for others that I did not have when I was younger. Receiving messages from people all over the world, telling me my visibility has helped them know they aren’t alone and it’s ok to be true to who you are, is what pushes me to succeed.” Ward combined her love of basketball and advocacy with her first commercial booking in a campaign with ASICS and by becoming an Athlete Ally Ambassador. “I’ve learned that if you pursue your dreams with passion and purpose, the joy along the journey is just as rewarding as the success obtained when your dream is realized.”
